Official Language
In accordance with Article 8 (1) of the Austrian Federal Constitutional Law (B-VG), German is the official language of the Republic without prejudice to the rights provided by Federal law for linguistic minorities. The bodies of legislation, jurisdiction and administration have to use this language for matters among themselves as well as in official matters with other parties. For this reason, no translation of the "Official Bulletins" shall be provided by the Federal Office for Food Safety.
